Do you know of a good site that shows how to make a 3-D clay model of a dinosaur? For second graders?
Please and thank you! It needs to be a 3-D picture/diagram and easy to make! Does type of clay matter? I didn't know...We're just going to be using Play-doh like stuff. I'm sure those sites will work, though. Thanks!

- You don't say *what kind* of clay you're thinking of, but these lessons on making them from polymer clay could give some ideas: Linda's lesson on sculpting a somewhat simple dragon http://www.itsjesterclay.com/littledragonlesson.htm http://familyfun.go.com/arts-and-crafts/season/feature/famf107project/famf107project17.html to make the scales on my dragon, I took a regular soda straw and sliced across the diameter of the mouth about an inch, then cut off half of the slice. This left a little scoop that could be used to slice under and lift small sections of clay. ...or pressed into the clay as a half-moon to make rows of scales. Pinching the scoop gives it a point to make scales with a different shape. http://sculpey.com/projects_figures.htm polymerclayexpress' lesson on sculpting a very nice small dragon with scrap clay (over alum. foil armature) http://www.polymerclayexpress.com/dece2001.html http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLC,GGLC:1969-53,GGLC:en&q=dragon+site:garieinternational%2ecom%2esg Diane B.
