Did the cave dwellers paint cave paintings so they would not be distroyed in a future holocaust by god?

If dinosaurs existed, why didn't ancient artist ever paint pictures of them. That will stump you.

1. Maybe they weren't around when the dinosaurs were here. They painted on the wall for lots of reasons, to tell stories, document birth and death records, communicate, etc.
2. Ancient artists never saw dinosaurs. They were extinct millions of years before man came along. And why would a benevolent god want to destroy the works of one of his own artistic creatures?
3. The only stump around here is your knowledge. Dinosaurs died out 25,000,000 years before the first ancestors of humans even came into being. On the other hand, the cave paintings didn't protect the cave dwellers just like praying to God doesn't work now.
