How is it that my brother believes in the bible but not dinosaurs?
My brother is an intelligent man and yet he continues to argue that the Dinosaurs are the fiction and not the bible. There is so much physical proff I don't understand how he can refute this? Yes I know all about creationism versus Darwinism but THE PROOF IS EVERYWHERE! I hardly think the Government is making up the dinosaurs.

- Well..I've struggled with this myself. But if you are to believe only the bible then you can't account for dinsaurs, because there is nothing in the bible that mentions this pre-historic era..therefore it couldn't have existed, but based on findings...there were dinosaurs...Soo I guess I'm not of alot of help other than I don't think too many people can believe both the bible and the whole dino thing too. I mean, based on the the dino theory, the bible must be wrong or missing some info, but based on the bible, there cannot have been dinosaurs....
- What does he say when shown the fossils?
- Of course he'll say that God just put the fossils there to trick us. Along with all the other 'science' stuff that makes so many unbelievers. It's just a matter of faith, if you believe then you believe. If some people want to surrender control of their minds and hearts to some unseen force, then that's their choice. Me, I'll trust in human reason and ability any day. Over the long haul, we'll see who's right.
- just cause he might not belive in dinosaurs now he might later. but alot of people belive in god and not other things like spirts.
- Science attempts to prove that this earth is far older than the years accounted in the recorded history of the Holy Bible. Science finds specimens which they claim are millions of years older than earth's history recorded in God's Word. Science concludes, then, that God's Word is not literally true (Thy word is true from the beginning: . . . Ps.119.160 below). What science does show (if the scientific measurements are accurate) is that God created upon this earth PRIOR TO Genesis 1:1-31, 2:1-3. God destroyed all prior creation (Gen.1:2) to bring forth man created in God's likeness (Gen.1:26), with an UNBROKEN lineage beginning with Adam. God will create again - a new heaven and a new earth (Re.21:1, Isa.65:17) after the Millennium, after the battle of Gog and Magog (Re.20:7-10). I conclude that nothing of God's prior creation survived to give man the lineage of apes. We begin with Adam and Eve, as it is written. Ps.119:160 Thy word [is] true [from] the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments [endureth] for ever. Pat (ndbpsa ©)
- Where is Schneb when you need him. : ) He always has great answers for these questions. I believe in the Bible but how can you dispute findings of dinosaur bones and fossils...hmmmm maybe I'll go home and call my Mom she also knows the Bible inside out. She'll know. If I find out anything interesting I'll let you know.
- The Bible does in fact mention dinosaurs. There are very clear descriptions of them in Job chapters 40 and 41. The word 'dinosaur' is not used in th Bible simply because that word was not coined until 1841. The Bible was translated into English long before that, so that word would not have been available to use. There are three different words used to describe various types of dinosaurs in the Bible and depending on the translation you may find many different English words used, but the animals we call dinosaurs are mentioned over 30 times in the Bible. For more details follow the link below. http://www.drdino.com The science behind the young-earth creation theory is (as far my research has been able to discover) the one with the strongest evidence behind it, as compared to Darwinian evolution, or the day-age, or the gap theory. The simple fact is that no one is able (or ever will be able) to absolutely prove by (scientific means) any theory on the origins of the universe and life. All beliefs about them are thus faith-based, not fact. Science is able to do certain things, but proving past events is not one of them, and fossils don't come date-stamped. Neither do rocks. Radiometric and carbon14 dating are not accurate beyond a MAXIMUM of about 30-40 thousand years, beyond that, the numbers are so microscopic that any accurate estimate is simply not possible.
