If God created Earth and Adam and Eve, where do the dinosaurs fit in the picture in the creation of earth?

According to the bible, God made the earth, the plants, animals, and man. We have scientific proof in the existence of dinosaurs due to fossils. How did man and dinosaurs live together if the bible is accurate? Okay so if dinosaurs exsisted during the reign of mankind, How did they survive against the "mean eating" dinosaurs like the tyrannosaurus rex. Man stands about 6 ft average. Compare that to a dinosaur who stands as large as a skyscraper. This doesnt make sense to me. It says in Genesis, GOD created earth..period. So we can include "pre-" or "post" anything in the picture. The bible said he made earth, so he made it right? Ok, when did he make the dinosaurs? To EVERYONE...the bible said.."in the beginning God created the earth"...It did NOT say that God, wiped out stuff and put dinos there!! If I repaint my car, I can't tell people that I created that car, just because I redone the car!! You Christians are contradicting yourselves!

1. Man and dinosaurs didn't live together, man lived millions of years later. Of course that doesn't fit either if the world is 6000 years old.
2. "giant lizards" aka dinosaurs are mentioned in the book of jOb chapters 40-42. Yet, the biblical creation story shouldn't be taken as science, but a religious story of man's origins. God's 7 "day" creation, could have been millions and millions of years in our time frame with evolution happening, dinosaurs living, etc>

4. Dinosaurs are indeed difficult to explain. But one thing is sure... no man was around during the 6 'days' it took to create the world. Considering the number of translations we've gone through (God's word to Moses, Moses writing it down in some ancient language, the word finally being recorded in Hebrew in the earliest of bibles, and finally the Hebrew being translated into English), it is very likely that the way we think of a 'day' now has no correlation to what God considered a day during creation. Since he was in control of the whole picture, why wouldn't he go ahead and run a 50 million year cycle during that last 'day' just to make the world look like it had been around for more than 24 hours. Considering that God could do it however he'd want, it is not unlikely that he did some fast-tracked evolution. In support of this theory, God has often done things throughout the scriptures that tested man's faith against logic. It has long been his way of testing us. Creating a world that appears to be 100 million years old makes us rely on faith. Can you imagine if scientists discovered in 1907 that the world was really 6000 years old, and it could be proven that it was created in 6 days? It would take no faith to beleive in God then, would it... that would defeat the whole purpose of faith.

7. This is how creationists disprove the Bible. The Bible traces the Earth back to about 4200 BC and that's it. Religious zealots claim that dinosaurs are sciences creation to undermine religion and are false. We each must make up our own minds as to what we believe to be true. Do you believe dinosaurs walked the Earth millions of years ago? Or do you believe the Earth was created 6000 years ago?

10. It would seem that God created the dinosaurs pre-flood with all the other creatures during creation week. These creatures apparently died in the flood and were not with the animals that were chosen to be saved in the ark with Noah and his family.
11. Those who wrote the Genesis creation stories did not know about dinosaurs since they were long extinct. Thus, they couldn't have written about them. The creation story is a myth in that it uses symbols and metaphor, written in religious terms in order to explain how some Hebrew people believed the world came into existence. With opinions like yours, I don't know how many serious and educated exegetes would take you seriously.
12. So many people have been distracted from the truth by the THEORY of a 6000 year old earth. The scriptures DO NOT SUPPORT the theory! Others have used Usher's technique and arrived at differing numbers. The technique itself is invalid, so no trust should be placed in any numbers derived from it. Please base questions on VALID EXEGESIS of the scriptures and NOT on FALSE CLAIMS based on misuse of the scriptures.
13. Time. Generations. The Generation that GOD Created the Dino's may have been different then when HE Created Human Beings. Read Ecclesiastes, chapter one. A Million Years between Generations would completely Erase it from Memory, unless somebody dug in a Rock Quarry, a Stone broke open and something that Looks like a Spark-Plug fell out. But you won't hear that kinda stuff in the Media much.
14. well, according to the bible, eve was made after adam had tried coupling with all the beasts of the feild in turn--doesn't say what those beasts were, but if he was doing the bad nasty with a pteradon or saber toothed tiger, no wonder he didn't mind giving up a rib!
15. The dinosaurs (large lizards) were created along with all the other animals at the creation. There is documentation and sites where dinosaur footprints alongside human foot can be seen. The Bible speaks of dinosaurs, referring to them as Leviathan, Behemoth, and Dragons. Dinosaurs are simply large lizards. Given the right habitat, an iguana will grow to be over 10 feet long. There have been snakes found in the Congo over 200 feet long. Also, the natives there have described a dinosaur they call Mokele Membe that lives deep in the jungle. At the creation of the world, the atmosphere was surrounded by a covering of water. This made the oxygen in the atmosphere richer, making the vegetation rich in nutrients, and ultimately speeding the growth of all living creatures. Hope this helps! Booyakasha!
16. Dinosaurs existed long before God created man. It is fact that they were real. It is also fact that they are extinct, wiped out,etc. In Genesis 1:28, when He created man, He said unto them," Be fruitful, and multiply and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion........... Now to replenish something is to refill it, which means there was something there before.
17. I believe man and dinosaurs certainly did live together. I mean, man and elephants live together. Man and rhinos live together. Man and hippos live together. Man and mammoths lived together, and man hunted the mammoth. So why not man and dinosaurs? 18. The Genesis Account and Dinosaurs While the radioactive dating method is innovative, it is still based on speculation and assumption. In contrast, the Bible account in the first chapter of Genesis simply states the general order of creation. It allows for possibly thousands of millions of years for the formation of the earth and many millenniums in six creative eras, or “days,” to prepare the earth for human habitation. Some dinosaurs (and pterosaurs) may indeed have been created in the fifth era listed in Genesis, when the Bible says that God made “flying creatures” and “great sea monsters.” Perhaps other types of dinosaurs were created in the sixth epoch. The vast array of dinosaurs with their huge appetites would have been appropriate considering the abundant vegetation that evidently existed in their time.—Genesis 1:20-24. When the dinosaurs had fulfilled their purpose, God ended their life. But the Bible is silent on how he did that or when. We can be sure that dinosaurs were created by God for a purpose, even if we do not fully understand that purpose at this time. They were no mistake, no product of evolution. That they suddenly appear in the fossil record unconnected to any fossil ancestors, and also disappear without leaving connecting fossil links, is evidence against the view that such animals gradually evolved over millions of years of time. Thus, the fossil record does not support the evolution theory. Instead, it harmonizes with the Bible’s view of creative acts of God.
19. You have to picture this... there is water above the ground covering everything (the atmosphere is water)(this is illustrated in Genesis). Recent studies have shown that this setting would create in increase in oxygen and pressure and would allow for miraculous growth. These studies have been conducted in i think what is called a "hyperbaric chamber". Somehow, with increased pressure and oxygen, animals can heal at rapid rates and live much longer (which would explain the extreme age of OT people). Dinosaurs are lizards and lizards never stop growing. Fossils show what can happen to lizards when they are grown in this environment. To prove the size of people and animals, Genesis 6:4 says "There were giants on the earth in those days...". I know this may sound far fetched, but look into this hyperbaric chamber thing. In China, they've grown a cherry tree to almost 3 times its normal size.
20. Apparently dinosaurs existed after 'The Flood'. They are referred to as behemoth and Leviathan in the book of Job. (Job was the son of Issachar (Gen. 46:13), and Eliphaz was the son of Esau (Gen 36:4)). Why we do not see them today; I do not currently know, just as I do not currently know why we do not see unicorns (Psalms 22:21).
21. They don't. Most scientists will tell you that dinosaurs and men did not and could not live together.
22. They don't. How could God forget its own design of the solar system. Joshua 10:12-13 Then spake Joshua to the lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, "Sun stand thou still upon Gibeon and thou, Moon in the valley of Ajalon." And the sun stood still and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down the whole day. We live in a heliocentric universe. The Sun does not move. Joshua should have said, "Earth be thou still." Stopping the moon is another matter altogether.
23. Aren't dinosaurs animals? God created them with all the other creatures on the fifth day (He created man (Adam) on the sixth day). Oh yeah, according to the Bible, God made more than what you listed. He is creator of all there is, all there was, and all there will ever be. :)
