Dinosaur Files

Where in the Bible does it say "Thou shalt make stuff up to suit thine own needs"?

I just saw the 'spiritual science' website posted a couple of questions ago, and what a crock. Then there's the Creationist Museum with their 'fossilised teddybear' (complete with fossilised plastic buttons), and the pictures of Jesus riding the dinosaur (the scale would have meant JC would have stood at least 2 stories tall) and all the other stuff. Why do people make this garbage up and sell it off as 'science'? And why do people believe this garbage and pass off valid scientific evidence as unfounded just because it doesn't follow 'God's law'? These people irritate me.

  1. Paul and other authors made up most of the New Testament and they were "divinely guided" so its all good........ "Christianity...[has become] the most perverted system that ever shone on man....Rogueries, absurdities and untruths were perpetrated upon the teachings of Jesus by a large band of dupes and imposters led by Paul, the first great corrupter of the teaching of Jesus." --- Thomas Jefferson “The son-ship of Jesus Christ is the greatest fiction of human history.” (Lord Bishop of Canterbury Commission, the Spiritual Head of England, 1910.) “The son-ship of Jesus Christ, the Trinity, the blood sacrifice of the lamb of God, atonement are not the teachings of Jesus. These are all inventions of Saint Paul who never really met Jesus.” (Hastings Rashdall, The Theory of Good and Evil) "Initially there were 34 gospels that were compiled by word of mouth. Four were chosen for unclear reasons and 30 were left behind [burned]. (Encyclopedia Britannica) “There is strong reason to believe that St. Paul fabricated the belief system of Christianity from Zoroastrian mythology. In order to hide Paul’s plaigerism… Christians burned the library of Alexandria in 390 A.D. Books in that library kept Mithra’s original story of what Pauline Doctrine is an almost exact copy. (George Sarton , Introduction to History of Sciences) ,
  2. People are always trying to change the Bible to suit their own needs. We just need to remember that the Bible is the truth and doesn't need changing. God wrote what he wanted us to read.
  3. Sounds like a Chick tract. @>}----}---- AD
  4. Wasn't there an addendum? Just kidding. A rational Christian. How refreshing.
  5. That sounds like you are B.S.ing to me,but check out on a search the ancient "Ica Stones" the were etched thousands of years ago and show man and dinosaurs together.
  6. This is not said, it is the entire form of the text. That is what the writers of the Bible themselves did, so it's ok.
  7. lol i have never heard of that museum but it would definately be hilarious to go see...with lots of camera film to mail out to everybody I know... I dislike needless debates, as it is too close to a dispute to suit my personality, but there are a lot of things that do have material proof of some parts of the Christian side of things. Most of the debates about how the world got here end up sounding something like this: ‘Can’t you see what I’m talking about?’ ‘No, I can’t. Don’t you see how wrong you are?’ ‘No, I’m not wrong. It’s obvious that I’m right.’ ‘No, it’s not obvious.’ And so on. One of the popular reasons given for why we are totally baffled about how everything started(yes all of us are baffled, Christian or no, it's why it is called creation and big bang THEORIES) is found in a verse in the Bible: ‘But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned’ (1 Corinthians 2:14). Put simply, some things are just too complicated for the close-minded, short-lived humans to understand. We are not a divine power, so why should we be able to understand supernatural things? AND THAT IS AN ACTUAL VERSE IN THE BIBLE, GO AHEAD AND LOOK IT UP. THAT is not something THIS Christian '"just made up". I have my triumph.... :-P
  8. It doesn't. People make things up for selfish reasons. I have problems with both Darwinists & Creationists. Darwinists refuse to accept Darwin's own premise: As complexity increases in creation natural selection plays less of a role. Darwin concluded that natural selection can not explain the complexity found in the human eye. Creationists refuse to accept the role natural selection plays in the evolution of lifeforms in general. Ironically if Darwin were alive today he might consider himself something of a hybrid between a Darwinist & IDist.
