Dinosaur Files

Read Job 40 about the dinosaur or behemoth???

This is it- are you dumb or what- I think God forgot about quite a few other dino's there ya think. You believe in a Dr. Seuss book do you realize that.. Go to a museum look at the dinosaur bones. And get back to me. 15 "Look at the behemoth, [a] which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox. 16 What strength he has in his loins, what power in the muscles of his belly! 17 His tail [b] sways like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are close-knit. 18 His bones are tubes of bronze, his limbs like rods of iron.

  1. You see, the thing is - dinosaurs went extinct 65 million years ago during the K-T Extinction Event.
  2. OK, so... behemoth = dinosaur? I'm guessing you failed the word association part of your SAT.
  3. I wonder what species the bible is mentioning with the above passages. Just found this from bible gateway: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=22&chapter=40&version=31 When reading further it becomes obvious that it is discussing the elephant and hippotamus, both native to mesopotamia.
  4. You ought not use the arguments of someone (Kent Hovind) who's already been thoroughly debunked, not to mention is sitting in jail right now for very unchristian tax evasion (what happened to "render unto Caesar?). You idiots sure know how to pick your role models...
  5. I missed the question? `
  6. the majority of evangelicals think that Behemot is a Dinosaurs it is a shame they don´t use reasoning that the book of Job was written almost 1000 years after the flood when all the dinosaurs died, that is why the bible is losing credibilty because is in the hand of people that don´t like to think, just repeat what their pastor like Ted Haggard did.
  7. I believe in the Bible, I have one on my coffee table. But I don't look to it for a scientific explanation of the world. I look to it to inform my faith.
  8. uuummmm....k. I don't think that Dino's really played much of a role in the greater scheme of things. God didn't "forget them". It just wasn't important to come to know Jesus.
  9. yes, there are other great animals in the Bible Not Dino's
  10. Its behemoth, what is behemoth may be one kind of dinosaurs, may be brontosaurus.
  11. I always thought the behemoth was a large crocodile or aligator. They caught one not long ago in Florida that was 18 feet long! (Butt to head, Not including the tail.) Try to describe a croc/aligator. It sounds the same to me.
  12. You were not born much much earlier before the existence of God to have taught our God. I supposed you have so that you can be the worse teacher in the world. Rom 9:20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? jtm
  13. I can not figure out if you are trying to prove or disprove the bible. I do not know for sure that dinosaurs went extinct that long ago because carbon dating is so inaccurate. You get back to me when you can prove anything about the bible is NOT true.
  14. after reading the description of the tail of Behemoth , the idea that it is a hippo or elephant is patently absurd !!!!!
