Anyone know of any good dinosaur movies?

My 5 year old son is obsessed with dinosaurs. He has all of the Jurassic Park movies, and Dinosaurs. I rented Dinotopia:Quest for the Ruby on VHS. Anyone know of any good DVD's or VHS's that I could get for him and where.

  7. The Land Before Time!!! It is the best movie for your child. I used to watch it all the time when I was a kid. It is a very interesting adventure movie, and even you would like it.
  8. The Land That Time Forgot (1975) saw this movie as a kid in the late 70s at the cinema and loved those dinosaurs. I have now watched the restored version (91 min. instead of 78 min.) on DVD and still love those dinosaurs. There are few movies that I still enjoy as much as I did a quarter of a century ago, so this obviously must have something `classic' about it, though it's hard to put the finger on it. Maybe it's just the naïve charm that was lost when computer FX spoiled fun to a certain degree in Jurassic Park and later on. No actor is a candidate for the Academy Award here, the monsters look about as deadly as your daughter's puppets, but nonetheless – more sense of wonder in the forgotten land of Caprona than anywhere else.

  10. Land before time series, specially the 1st and 2nd. Then i really really liked the movie "Dinosaurs" It was really great.

  12. y 11 year old was that way when he was younger, he loved all the land before times, but he was not allowed to see the Jurassic parks til later try dinotopia
  13. The Land Before Time movies are good. They have made 10 or 11 of them and are about to put out a show in the next year of it. They are cute. Give those a try.
  14. My three year old loves all of THE LAND BEFORE TIME movies. They are funny and interesting enough that my husband and I will watch them with her! They teach the kids about the different kinds of dinasours and how life could have been for them.
  15. My 6 year old is obsessed with dinosaurs too. He will even watch the documentaries! We have all the Land Before Time Movies but he might be a bit too old for those. Here is a list but be careful of the ratings. Some old movies are cheesey but my son likes them just because it has dinosaurs or something that resembles a dinosaur (like Godzilla movies). We're Back is also a really good dino movie.   16. There are other episodes of Dinotopia (which was a TV miniseries, I think), as well as books. See www.dinotopia.com. Also, the movie Night at the Museum that's out now has a TRex skeleton that comes to life. You could also go to www.netflix.com and search for dinosaur movies.
  17. My 3 year old loves the dinosaur section of Fantasia. It's short, but it does show a great fight between a T-Rex and a Stegosaurus.

  19. There are a bunch of the Land Before Time movies, they are all cartoons. ALso the cartoon movie, I think it is called We're Back??
  20. When i was a kid, i loved dinosaurs too. My best advice for a kiddie dino movie, "Land Before Time"! It's so good, i still watch it today, by myself!
