Was the T-REX the worst DINOSAUR of its time?

Hi, I am curious about the T-rex dinosaur. In all the movies I have seen about dinos the Rex is the one that is always depicted as the worst killer. Was this the only animal or is there any other animal that was the be the same way? I know velociraptors were bad but what about the rest of the other animals. I saw this movie called Walking with dinosaurs and it was just about the same thing as previous movies..

  1. yea, all the other dinosaurs that were carnivors
  2. What do you mean by "bad" and "worst?" You seem to be calling these animals evil.
  3. The only movie out there with any real prehistoric relevance pertaining to dinosaurs is Jurassic Park III. Prof. Jeff Goldblum would agree with me when I say that the ONLY dinosaur is the T-Rex!
  4. It depends on what you mean. As far as we know, most living things live purely on instinct, and can't really tell right from wrong. What the T-Rex does is between the T-Rex and the guy who decides what he does. But in viciousness, yes, I am pretty sure that he was pretty bad.
  5. Worst, best.. who knows. There is no bad in nature. So there were lots of dinos that ate other dinos. In order to eat a brontosaur, there had to be a predator big enough to do that. However, do a little research... it is beginning to look like the T Rex was probably a scavenger, anyway.
  6. I feel the same way too. They give the Tyrannosaurus/and its relatives way to much credit sometimes. Besides the land ones, give credit too the sea too.
  7. Nope, T-REX (as far as dinosuars go) was the best, greatest, most gifted:now extinct "GLITTER ROCK band ever!!! w/ Marc Bolan(letal animal) as the front man. They were KILLERS and their music devoured You.
  8. Yeah thats kinda true. It would be cool though if they included sea reptiles that lived at the time... Now they were some fierce creatures.... Plus I found this little paragraph on this website in sources about the t-rex and if it was fierce... Was the Tyrannosaurus as fierce as it's shown to be? Everyone loved the part in Jurassic Park when their Tyrannosaurus went haywire and swore an oath to terrorize humans his whole life, no matter what, resulting in a few people getting shredded. Even though my little fight with Jurassic Park is besides the point, some experts highly doubt that the Tyrannosaurus was even close to being that fierce. It had very small, very useless forearms. It was just like your arms being the size of your fingers on you. With such a burden as this, it would be very hard to take down prey. Plus, if the animal ever fell down, it would have a hell of a time getting back up. Also, it was so massive, it would have a hard time sneaking up on the other dinosaurs in order to kill them. Scientists think that it was too dumb, too. it's brain size is very small, compared to other Theropods, who were much more intelligent. Instead, scientists are now beginning to believe that Tyrannosaurus might have been a scavenger, feeding on the remains of other kills, as opposed to a hunter. So does this mean that Littlefoot's mother should have lived? Other scientists disagree. Using a model of a Tyrannosaurus head, one Paleontologist mapped the range of a Tyrannosaurus' vision. It was comparable with that of hawks, meaning that it hunted. Once again, this is one of the great things about paleontology. There are always things we are unsure about, and always more to find out.
