If I buy a Nintendo DS Lite, can I still use DS games on it?

Just wondered if the old games are compatible on the Lite version. I am about to buy one and just wondered if I should..... :-) I think the Trauma Center and Hotel Dusk games look really good. I just hope I'm not buying a dinosaur as everytime I buy a console it goes out of date. want something portable I don't have a ds or a ds lite. I just wondered if you could use old ds games on the lite version

2. The DS Lite is excellent. I would recommend Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney, it's really addictive.
3. Yes you can. Also you can also play gameboy advance games on it. There isn't that much difference between the DS and Lite, why not save your money and buy a really great game for the DS you have now? Whatever you do, Have fun ok, i understand you don't have a ds at all. In which case i highly recommend getting one. Not sure how old you are but i am 31 and i love my DS, It will be around for a long time so don't worry that you're going to buy something and then they are going to stop making games for it. 5. yes the ds and the lite are the really much the same but for a new microphone and better screen and for a good game try mario kart.
6. They are the same actually the diff is how the DS Lite looks.
7. DS and DS Lite are the same machine. DS Lite is a slightly improved version, in that it has a brighter screen, amongst other things. All DS games work on both machines. Game Boy Advance games work on it too!
