- yes it semms ok i hav no prblem with that i dowoaded fear 3 of the internet totally legal . rok on with that game .
- If you are downloading the games illegally, then yes, if not then don't worry. just because you dont have to pay for it doesnt make it illegal, just check with what ever downloader/website your using
- No, like I already answered if you own a physical copy of the game then it is okay for you to own no more than one "backup" copy. Generally speaking this is a backup you would create yourself but these days I don't think that really matters given the availability of copies. P2P programs and downloading aren't the part that's illegal, it's whether or not you have the rights to whatever it is you're downloading. In the case of downloading something you already own then there is no fault as long as you aren't then distributing your backup copy.
- It is ILLEGAL in the example you are giving. (There are games which are "freeware" - free to play, free to download - but they are not made by Nintendo.) Here's how it works. You buy a game (Turok for N64). It's not like a CD, where you can make a backup copy. You don't play your N64 online, do you? Thus if you download an emulated version of Turok for N64, it's illegal; Nintendo didn't make that game (for the computer), and they aren't distributing it as an emulated game. Regarding backup copies: "The backup/archival copy exception is a very narrow limitation relating to a copy being made by the rightful owner of an authentic game to ensure he or she has one in the event of damage or destruction of the authentic." You are not the rightful owner. You did not create it. You do not own the copyright; you merely "own" a right to listen to it or play it. Here's Nintendo's say on it, just scroll down to the part about emulated ROMs: http://www.nintendo.com/corp/faqs/legal.html
